There are five online roulette variations: American Roulette, European Roulette, European Roulette Gold, French Roulette and Roulette Royale. The general rules of roulette apply to every variation but each game comes with minor variations.
While all roulette variations has a single “0”, American Roulette has a “0” and a “00” wheel slots. Meanwhile, French Roulette and European Roulette Gold has Call Bets aside from standard roulette bets. European Roulette Gold even has special bets called Neighbor Bets.
American Roulette
American Roulette also has the five bet option that covers five numbers and it pays 6:1. This is initiated by betting on 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3 by placing the chips on the boundary line where the first row and the line between 0 meet.
European Roulette does not have a five bet option but it has the four bet option that covers four numbers and pays 8:1. This is triggered by betting on the numbers 0, 1, 2 and 3 by placing your chip on the boundary line where the first row and the line between 0 meet.
French Roulette
On the other hand, French Roulette has the La Partage special rule that lets you lose only half of your bet if you make an even-money bet and the roulette ball lands on 0. Roulette Royale has a progressive jackpot that consistently grows. This progressive jackpot can be won if you hit the same number five times in a row.
