Anyone can identify a roulette table due to its popularity. The table consists of a wooden wheel with 37 pockets for the European version and 38 for the American version. Both tables have coloured pockets that alternate from black to red and they are numbered 0-36, with the American version having an extra pocket with the number 00.
How to pay roulette

Roulette
The croupier spins the wheel counter-clockwise, while spinning a small white ball, or sometimes metal, the other way. The ball will eventually slow down and fall into one of the pockets thereby declaring a winning pocket.
The pockets are numbered in pairs of two even and two odd numbers with each section adding up to about the same amount. The total of all the numbers on the roulette wheel is 666, which a lot of superstitious people associate the number with the devil.
The main objective of the game is to predict in which pocket the ball will fall into. Players will bet on which pocket by placing their chips on one or more corresponding options on the layout next to the wheel of the roulette table.
There are several available betting options, from the more familiar red or black and even or odds money bets to more specific bets. Specific bets are when the player bets on specific numbers (35-1) streets (11-1), splits (17-1), dozens (2-1), columns (2-1), corners (8-1), six-line bet (5-1), and the five line bet (6-1).

The Dos and Don’ts of Roulette
Once a croupier spins the wheel and the ball he will say to the players “no more bets”. When this happens you are not to touch your chips to change it or increase your wager. When the croupier announces that there are no more bets he is signaling everyone that there will be no more changes to anyone’s bets. So do not touch your chips when the wheel is already in motion, otherwise prepare to exit the casino floor in an unfashionable manner because the casino’s bouncer might throw you out.
