Online Poker Tournaments
There are many different types of online poker tournaments to play online. Whether you play at an online casino site that offers poker to its site visitors or play poker at one of the big online poker sites you can have some cheap entertainment playing in online poker tournaments.
The poker tournaments come in two formats. You can play a normal even that is very time consuming or you can play a speed tournament, which as the name suggests, has the blinds increase very quickly, almost forcing players to act in an aggressive manner or risk being blinded out of an event.
There are also two very different types of tournaments that you can play. You can play in Sit N Go tournaments or you can play in scheduled poker tournaments.
The scheduled online poker tournaments will generally take you longer to play but the rewards can be very high with many more players in the tournament. You also have more chance to get paid with many players too keen to shove al their chips in the middle and not really worrying about just making the money.
This is especially true in the early stages of a tournament and you really have to just sit tight and wait for your opportunity.
Just remember that in a scheduled online poker tournaments will take a fair amount of time if you are not playing a speed tournament. So if you’re up late and you sign up for a tournament you may find that you play tired and push the envelope when you shouldn’t.
The other tournaments that you can play online are Sit N Go. These are great if you simply don’t have time for the 6-7 hour scheduled poker tournaments. Sit N Go poker tournaments start when there is either 10-30 or 50 players registered. (depends on how many the SNG is catering for).
I normally play the speed versions of these and you can win some money if you have the patience to wait long enough. Patience is certainly the key to online poker games and you will need to have some if you want to win money online playing poker.
