Though Blackjack is easy to learn, mastering it takes a long time. Therefore, you must play the odds to your advantage all the time. You can count the value of the cards that have been dealt to know what is coming. Or, you can follow these simple tips that will make the dealer your prey.![]()
First, always split your sevens against the dealer’s card of a lower or of equal value. Also, you must split twos and three with a four, a five or a six card. You must also remember that no matter what dealer card appears, eights and aces should be split.
On the other hand, fives, tens and face cards should never be split for these cards can provide a good number for your hand. Should you have a value of 17 or higher, you must stand hard for it. In the event that the dealer has 10, continue hitting until you have gained 17 or higher.
If you have a value of 15 as compared to the dealer’s 10, surrender it hard. If you have 16 against the dealer’s nine, ten or ace, you must surrender it hard as well unless your 16 is comprised of two eights.
Of course, great mental play must always be accompanied with stable emotions. Never lose your focus on the game and the flow of money will not stop as well. At the end of it all, your greatest foe is not the dealer but yourself.
